Respect is non-existent from so many areas of life. I have to admit, before my son passed away I was nearly null and void of many of these respects, where I lived - how much I made - what I did for a living gave me a false sense of entitlement, a &amp;quot;free-pass&amp;quot; for lack of respect if you will. That has all changed and I thank God everyday for showing me how wrongly I was living. I look at life completely differently now and it saddens me to see the rest of our country ignoring these - even the most basic of respects. I just heard that a poll was taken that found 10% of Americans don&amp;#39;t know that Hawaii is part of America.  Only pure self-absorbtion could make a person not know such basic facts about the world around them.  There are dozens of examples.
